Tae Kwon Do in Wiltshire – 11.7

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

I think everybody learnt a lot from yesterdays 2016 South West Championships! Whether you went home with a trophy or a medal, I think everyone went home with a massive sense of community after what was a really great day for our martial arts family! All competitors gave it their all in what was a very tough day for our students across Bath, Wiltshire and Salisbury. With so many categories to compete in, spread out throughout the day, made it a very interesting day for students and spectators alike. Also it allowed our young warriors to display their many skills, they have been working hard perfecting over the past few weeks in class and was brilliant to see them all in action and that all the hard work has paid off! Was awesome to have all of our clubs together and see them all perform so well! A massive thanks to all parents for ensuring your young warriors are always in class on time, supporting them at home during their preparation and coming along to show your support at the Championships, some of which travelled quite long distances so a big thank you to all of you!

In the lead up to the end of term, and what has been a fantastic year for all at The Warrior Academy, we will be having some well deserved fun sessions for our students to reward them for all their hard work! We also have a free fun day for all students this coming Saturday 16^th July where we have been chosen to represent Martial Arts at the Trowbridge Sports Festival! All parents are welcome to drop their young warriors off with us at 11pm- 4pm for an afternoon of fun games and demonstrations in what promises to be another fantastic day!

On the subject of the end of term and the beginning of the summer break, keeping up with training can be difficult for our young warriors, so we have decided to run a couple of drop in classes every week so everyone can continue learning and having fun throughout the holidays. Some clubs have already received flyers with information about this and the rest will go out this week. We have chosen two locations which should be convenient for all of our students, Freshford and Amesbury. Look forward to seeing you all there!

Just want to finish with another massive well done to everybody who competed yesterday and to all students who have worked so hard (whether they could make the Championships or not) in class to prepare for what really was a great day! Already looking forward to the next one!
